Headline: Neotek Lighting, Inc. wins the Illuminating Engineering Society’s 2024 Award for Significant Advancement to the Art and Science of Lighting

Midlothian, Texas – August 16, 2024 – Neotek Lighting Incorporated, a forty-year old commercial lighting manufacturer, won this year’s Industry Progress Award for its Pulsed Xenon Luminaire for agriculture.

The award was presented at the Illuminating Engineering Society’s meeting in New York City at the 51st Annual IES Illumination Awards Gala held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square hotel.  The Annual Award is given to companies that advance the art and science of illumination with unique and significant advancements.

The award was given to Neotek Lighting for its patented Pulsed Xenon Lighting which provides full spectrum light, mimicking sunlight, for the greenhouse industry.  The significant energy savings of Pulsed Xenon lighting contributes to sustainable technology.  With very little wattage, the fixture produces intense pulses of full-spectrum light that penetrates the plant leaf surface.  This results in sturdier plants at a fraction of the energy costs of typical horticulture supplemental lighting.
